Description

• Bowling Together is a Temple Micah social gathering for the entire community -- singles, couples, families with tots, kids, teens, empty nesters, seniors, worshipers, adult-ed participants, religious school families, the regulars and the occasional drop-ins. Besides bowling, there will be raffles for everyone There will be plenty of time to bowl, but bowling is not required; it is not even the major focus for the evening. We are gathering to build and strengthen our community.

• We are looking forward to a social and fun-filled evening for all. People will be able to bowl in hourly shifts (starting on the hour) and you can sign up when you arrive and during the evening. Not everyone will be able to bowl at the same time, so when you are not bowling you'll have the chance to mingle and meet other Temple Micah members. There will be a number of kids lanes set aside with gutter rails, particularly for the early hours. The center has a snack bar which will be supplemented with limited desserts.

1. There are no political ads or debates to watch on TV so you might as well go out.
2. While the new construction is great, Temple Micah still doesn’t have any bowling lanes.
3. It’s not going to the movies or out to dinner.
4. You can wear your bowling shirt and no one will laugh at you.
5. You can meet someone new from the congregation.
6. You really don’t need to know how to bowl.
7. Digital TV will not be in service yet.
8. You can bring the whole family.

Location and Directions

• Location: Bethesda Naval Bowling Center, Wisconsin Ave, entrance (between Jones Bridge Road and Cedar Lane, Bethesda)

• Directions to the facility from various locations.
• Directions from Temple Micah: Travel north on Rt. 355, Wisconsin Ave. for approximately 5 miles. After passing Jones Bridge Rd. intersection, the National Naval Medical Center will be on your right. (Medical Center METRO station on left). Turn right into the main gate on South Wood Rd. At the guard station, show ID. From here you will be directed to parking. The bowling center is located in Bldg 56, Stokes Road, across from the Comfort Zone Complex.
